Strategic planning governmentStrategic planning is a management tool, it is used to help an organization do a better job and to focus on its energy, to ensure that members of the organization are working toward the same goals, to assess and adjust the organization's direction in response to a changing trends of marketed-Governance is effective strategy used by many of the governments. It was one of sound strategies implemented by the world wide governments. E-governance has given people the freedom to get work done at the right in terms of time and place. It saves time reduces tones of paper work involved: It also offers an easy payment mode and so. Citizens can get their work done, be it renewal of driving license, vehicle registration, payment of bills, filing income returns, all sitting comfortable at their home, at a click of the mouse button and at whichever time, be it early morning or late night. Because of this, people avoid unhappiness which they usually face at government offices, as a result of bureaucracy. While many governments have made efforts to reduce costs, too often this has led to cutting public programs. The governments today face a tough challenge not only to save money but also improve the level of services to citizens and businesses. By using the Internet, the cost of processing transactions is greatly reduced, with savings in paper and printing, mailing, and personnel. Online transactions can streamline processes and lead to greater efficiencies with less human interaction. The importance of e-government: Electronic Government is nothing but use of information technology like Internet, to deliver public services in a more convenient, citizen-centric, cost-effective, and better way. The factors effecting are: Put all information and services online: Easy and universal access to e-government information and services: Train government employees and facilitate knowledge sharing: Work in partnership: Remove barriers The implementation of any e-government strategy is very complex task, because as an initiative governments should start with small projects with limited risk to win support from politicians, employees, businesses, and citizens. For bigger projects, it is better to try an online application in one region before rolling it out nationwide. E-government strategies in India: As we know, 70 percent of Indian people live in villages and dependent on farming and agricultural industries. Most of these villages are not connected to the electricity grid. Out of these 1,000 people, only 20 people have telephone access and only 3 have access to a computer. To apply for crop loans, farmers have to submit a copy of their land records and it involves traveling to a distant government office to submit applications and meet the concerned public officials. To remove these hurdles and discomfort, senior officials in the panchayat of Dhar district together with the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, started a pilot project Gyandoot intranet project to connect Dhar district headquarters to a network of rural cybercafes also called as soochanalayas, located all over the villages. An operator with a physical presence was required to assist people and take payments. The system allows rural to communicate in their regional language. One more e-governance stratgeyCARD started by the state government of Andhra Pradesh (AP). The CARD project mainly designed for an effective computerization of the land registration process in AP.
