Strategic planning methods

Strategy is a word used by each and every mortal; a word used in each and every niche of the universe; but what does this eight letter word mean? It means a plan, method or series of actions designed to achieve a specific goal or effect. Making a strategy is not enough; you have to effectively execute it. Effective strategy means choosing the right things and effective execution means doing the things right. Strategic Planning method is the cocktail of the ideas of work to be done, its purpose, its vision, decision-making, the synthesis of monitoring and aligning the work, and metamorphosing various projects.

There are various methods are useful to conduct strategic planning. The well known method is SWOT analysis, which analyzes the organization's Strengths and Weaknesses, as well as Opportunities and Threats. Appreciative Inquiry methods concentrate son the positive side of the organization, such as success stories, in developing organizational strategy. Future Search Approach and Open Space Technology are less traditional and less structured methods for planning. Strategic planning makes an organization more strong and remains financially sound. It is a systematic planning process and involves a number of steps that identify the current status of the association, including its mission, vision for the future, operating values, needs, goals, prioritized actions and strategies, action plans, and monitoring plans. An important theory of strategic planning is an understanding that in order to flourish to meet the organization goal. Strategic plan team members include all association homeowners, the board of directors, professionals such as accountants and reserve professionals.
