Strategic planning in educationEducation is the challenging sector which takes place changes. An effective strategy will help the college to opt for it. The teaching mode in many of the traditional colleges and universities, even today, is one where the lecturer is transmitting information to the students, The majority of the teachers in traditional universities are maintaining the practice of formal teaching, disregarding the newer theories and researches about the way people learn Many university teachers, today, use a range of conventional teaching tools. When designing courses and planning learning environments, they select their tools and make minor adjustments to fit them to their own settings. Based on their experiences, different teachers use different forms of implementation strategies. In management education, strategies may include geographic expansion, diversification, acquisition, market penetration, retrenchment, curriculum development, industry institute interaction, infrastructure development, placement for students, joint ventures and retention of talented knowledge workers, etc. E-Learning Strategies E-learning has become a key word in the educational environment. It is the 'foundation stone' for knowledge management. Online learning has been considered the main solution provider for just-in-time and just-enough education .The integration of technology into the learning environment can bring numerous benefits for many of these teaching elements, but the environments need to have appropriate physical adaptations and modifications to allow easy access to technology. The outcome of many of today's current strategies in the development of instructional software is a proliferation of discrete products being successfully used in single classrooms. The identification of learning strategies and resources still leaves considerable distance between most teachers and their capacity to make use of web resources. Professors' use of web-based materials requires more effort and ability than conventional technologies like print and video. The development of products for widespread usage and application gives rise to many new considerations in the design and implementation processes. The design must take into account scalability, management of multiple software projects in a systematic way for best results, and distribution of those products on a large scale. The design must maintain, revise, and provide the necessary technical and user support. Knowledge worker might be someone who works at any of the tasks of planning, searching, acquiring, storing, analyzing, distributing, marketing, etc. Knowledge workers include basically professionals, e.g., lawyers, engineers, doctors, teachers, computer programmers, system analysts, technical writers, researchers, scientists and also students of all kinds, etc., who are dealing with highly advanced and thoroughly theoretical (in nature) knowledge. Placement Strategy: Campus placement is one of the most significant strategies adopted by most of the professional institutes and universities in the country. The number of students aspiring to seek admission in those institutes/universities is multiplying every year. These institutes are functioning as an interface between the academics and industry. Faculties are the foundation pillars of any educational institute. Competent and experienced faculties have always been a prime concern and of strategic importance to the higher educational institutes. The strategic planning in education institutions mainly influenced by below factors like: Placement/Campus recruitment Industry-based course curriculum Faculties Technology-based infrastructure Practical training Education loan facility Distant learning facility Other strategies
