Coverdell Education Savings Accounts is Financial Aid plan used for K-12 education to save for a private school education in a tax advantaged manner. Financial Aid Office maintains a separate list of K-12 scholarship and voucher programs for private and parochial schools. The list offers large national scholarship programs like Children's Scholarship Fund and Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program. It also gives information about the state K-12 education tax deductions and credits and state-funded voucher programs, including state corporate income tax credits.

Need-based Financial Aid

Private schools award Financial Aid Grants on the basis of demonstrated financial need in FASFA.These grants are not required to repaid and also used to balance the tuition fees. The Aid Amount for the Need Based Grants comes directly from the school's budget. To determine the Expected Family Contribution, you have to fill out an application for Financial Aid. You can ask the Financial Aid Officer of school for this form. The Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) can be available in an electronic format to email the applicant. The amount of Financial Aid received will be differing with school to school.

Merit Awards

Merit scholarships awards are sponsored to the students ho have some specific talent such as athletic, artistic, or academic. Every year more than 5% of the eligible students receive merit-based Financial Aid Award. Based on the economic conditions of students also some private schools offer Merit Based Aid in the form of sibling discounts.

Beyond the above Financial Aid Programs many of the schools offers financial assistance to the student's families by the way of Tuition Loan Programs and Tuition Payment Plans. These loan products can help you spread out tuition payments and make financing tuition more manageable.
