Financial aid masters degree

Many of the Master of Education programs are eligible for Federal Financial aid. Masters Degree students can apply through filing the FAFSA using online www.fafsa.ed.gov. Based on the demonstrated need of Financial Aid in FAFSA, verification process will be completed. Post verification, you will receive an email of admission notification including an award notice.Financial Aid will be in the form of gift aid grants, scholarships, fellowships, loans and/or self-help employment. Students are required to provide their expected family contribution to the Financial Aid Office of their savings and any of other assets if they have. Once you receive your Financial Aid Package, you will be reimbursed with your loan money.

The new Teacher Education grants for College and Higher Education provides up to $8,000 for graduate students. Teach Grants are manly intended to teach full-time for at least four years at schools that serve students from low-income families. The teaching subjects include bilingual education, foreign language, mathematics, reading specialists, science, and special education. Master degree student are also assisted with an easy, interest-free payment plan. Total education expenses will be divided into twenty equal monthly installments, which includes cost of books and materials for some programs.

Need-based Aids

Seminary scholarship: These aids will be one-fourth of tuition and fees. These are available to the new and returning master's degree candidates based on the demonstrated financial need.

Fellowship: It is a kind of Full Tuition plus Stipend aid to the masters degree studnets. Fellowships are intended to the incoming students with renewable GPA of 3.5.

Full Tuition Scholarship: It pays the full tuition amount of incoming master's degree applicants with renewable GPA of 3.5

Honour Scholarship: Honors pays part of tuition fee ranging from 30% to 90% to incoming master's degree candidates. The selection process depends on the candidate leadership skills and financial need with renewable GPA of 3.0

Recognition Award: It pays one-fourth of tuition fees of returning master's degree candidates. Selection will be on the based of vote of faculty.

Endowed African American Scholarships ranges from $1,000 - $2,000.These are available to the American master's degree students.

Turpeau Scholarship ranges between $500 - $2,000 to the united Methodist ethnic minority women enrolled in MDiv program

Federal Resources

Federal Government also sponsors various types of federal programs like Federal Stafford Loans, Federal Perkins Loans, and Federal Work-Study. The eligibility criteria depend on the demonstrated financial need in FASFA.

Grants are offered to the Masters Degree students from various resources like local church, denominations and agencies.

United Methodist members may be eligible for various grants, loans and/or conference funds.
