Financial aid kansasKansas State offers various Financial Aid programmes to assist post-secondary education for the many students of this state through a variety of efforts in professional development, information spreading, legislative and regulatory analysis. Every year Kansas State's Financial Aid Office distributes more than $190 million of federal, state, university, and private aid to the needy students. Financila Aid Application is a complex process and requires very patience to understand and meet the deadlines. Proper planning with necessary steps in the application process will give a successful start. Kansas State offers various Financial Aid programmes to reach students. They are: Kansas Learning Quest College Savings Program The Kansas Learning Quest Savings Program offers higher education costs to the individual students. It also offers tax advantages under both state and federal law. Midwest Student Exchange Program The Midwest Student Exchange Program is an interstate Financial Aid program started by the Midwestern Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to enhance the interstate educational opportunities for students. This Student Exchange Program includes the states of Kansas, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship The Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship program is basically intended to assist financially needy, academically competitive students of ethnic/racial groups: African American, American Indian or Alaskan Native; Asian or Pacific Islander; or Hispanic.Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship is a merit-based service contract scholarship program designed to pursuing bachelor's degree programs and currently licensed teachers pursuing enforcement to teach in a unique area.Nursing Service Scholarship State Scholarship State Scholarship aid assists financially needy students in the top 20-40% of Kansas high school graduates.Kansas Comprehensive Grants Kansas Comprehensive Grants are available to financially needy Kansas resident's enrolled full-time private colleges and universities of Kansas, state. The Kansas government offers limited financial assistance to the applicants the application process starts with submission of FASFA. The award amounts ranging from $200-$3,000 at the private institutions and $100-$1,100 at the public institutions. Vocational Scholarship The Vocational Scholarship is designed to the eligible vocational students for two-year programs at four-year institutions. This aid offers maximum 250 scholarships of $500.00 each awarded to the applicants with the highest scores. Kansas Osteopathic Medical Service Scholarship It is designed to assist primary care physicians to practice in remote areas of Kansas. The applicants are eligible to receive up to $15,000 per year for four years of study. Kansas Optometry Service Scholarship Optometry Service Scholarship is mainly intended to support optometrists to set up Kansas practices. Kansas financial aid helps to eligible resident and nonresident studnmets. Kansas Dental Education Opportunities Program It is designed to perceive Kansas dentists to establish Kansas practices. Kansas helps pay resident and nonresident students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. James B. Pearson Fellowship It is started by former Kansas Senator Pearson to help graduate students of Kansas public universities. Priority will be given to the applicants who are perceiving foreign affairs degree. Kansas Distinguished Scholarship Program Basically established to assist Brasenose, Clevening, Fulbright, Madison, Marshall, Mellon, Rhodes, and Truman scholars from Kansas to cover graduate studies at Kansas public universities. Kansas offers reimburse of tuition fees to the applicant as per the funding constraints.
