Emergency Reunion To US $15,000 - The Patriot plan includes emergency reunion coverage, up to US $15,000 for maximum 15 days. The expenses of the person accompanying the insured, i.e. travel and accommodation, during Emergency Medical Evacuation, is covered. 3. Repatriation To US $25,000 If the covered illness results in death, the expenses, up to a maximum of US $25,000, for Repatriation of the bodily remains or the ashes, to their respective country will be covered. 4. Returning Minor Children- To US $5,000 If in any case, the person insured is hospitalized, and his minor children 19 years or under, are left unattended, then the Patriot plan will pay up to US $5,000 for their one way fare to their country, including a chaperone, if needed, for the childrens safety. Special Coverage 1. Trip Cancellation To US $5,000 If there is a death in the family, during the covered trip, (death of a spouse, child, parent or siblings). The plan will pay for one way ticket of the same class as the unused travel ticket, less the value of the unused return ticket. 2. Lost Luggage To US $50 per item maximum of US $250 This benefit will be paid only if the Common Carrier loses the insured persons checked luggage. 3. Common Carrier Accidental Death US $50,000 to Beneficiary; maximum of US $250,000 per family. This benefit will be paid if accidental death occurs while traveling. Medical Benefits covered under this scheme are : Dental, Intensive Care, Outpatient, Local Ambulance and other medical expenses. Sports Each plan covers injuries caused during amateur athletic activities. However, hazardous activities (mountain climbing, bungee jumping, sky diving, skiing) are not covered by this plan. Benefit Period Six Months If the treatment, for the covered illness, has to be continued even after the policy expires, and if the treatment began less than six months before the policy expired, the benefits for the same will continue further for a period of six months. Ex-Patriot Plus This plan provides coverage for both US and non-US students traveling outside their country of citizenship, for a period of minimum six months to maximum two years. This plan must be purchased for a minimum period of six months and is then renewable for a period of two years for those who are traveling outside US, and for the non-US, traveling within US, this plan is renewable for one year.
